"Ottimo" in pagella quell’anno.

A presto e Nerd up yoursElf!

Proud to be nerd

It was on December 15th 2012 when, thanks to Facebook, I realized that was occuring a funny event, one of those I fancy a lot. On live streaming, camera fixed on a sofa equipped with all comfort necessities and live blogging laptop, Orgoglio Nerd editorial staff was facing The Lord of the Rings’ marathon. Twelve non stop hours of movies, an experience I’ve already done myself, but not on live streaming.

Sometimes, I have to say it, I’m a bit distracted: only on that occasion I recognized one of the familiar faces I saw once at a game event of GRVItalia, featuring in that live streaming ongoing on one of my favourite nerdish site. So I decided to spend some hours with them while, imagine that, I was working right at LARPers.

And so I realized that if Daniele, Gabriele and Monica among all the nerd activities they had live action role-play, then Orgoglio Nerd should have been right next to LARPers - to protect and play in this adventure.

Do you follow their posts and activities? If you do you know what I mean. Classy humor, very often self-ironic, smart and a bit of madness. We do like all of this, I mean, and we do believe that we got many common traits between our webseries and Orgoglio Nerd.

Let me tell you this: Orgoglio Nerd runs with Stramilano. And to do the running will not be the most trained editor, but Daniele “Il Rinoceronte” (italian for “rhino”) Daccò, editorial manager. If you have never seen Daniele, let’s say that his nickname suggests his tonnage. And furthermore I’d add that his motto is likely mine too, and Winston Churchill’s too: “no sports”. I think this performance, according to ON’s tag, it is more likely to be bound to the first element, “Orgoglio” (italian for “pride”) . I recall school, when I was 13 and I participate to the tv show “Scommettiamo che...”, and I jumped the rope for 64 times together with other 29 people in response to my gym teacher who didn’t think I could make it. Excellent grade that year. Take that.

When we say that LARPers is a transverse product we intend that certainly we wish it could be appreciated by tv series audience, but we also bear in mind to make it fancied by nerd dominion, endowed with lots of (self) irony. And who’s on top list as the best one to hold they house key if none else but the most funny (and truthful) web journal?

Follow us and follow Orgoglio Nerd and we will keep you up to date with initiatives between us.

See you soon and Nerd up yoursElf!
